Lanka Newspapers MD arrested

The Police yesterday arrested Lanka Newspapers Company Managing Director Venura Herath and another employee in connection with an assault on a person.

Meanwhile, the Police also arrested another employee of the company on a complaint made by Herath.

According to Police sources, the breakaway groups in the JVP are trying to capture party leadership and believe that this infighting may have been the cause of this attack too.
