The welfare division of the Air Force and its Seva Vanitha Unit
handed over a house built by them to the wife of deceased air pilot
Induravi Mutukumarana. The house was built in a plot of land owned by
his wife Janaki Perera at Mattegoda. The house is worth to Rs 3 million.
Air pilot Mutukumarana (29) lost his life in a plane crash at
Anuradhapura in 2007. He was a pilot trainer in Sri Lanka Air Force.
Janaki and her four year-old son Pasidu had lived with their parents in
Mattegoda, Polgasowita without a house of their own.
The chief guest at the ceremony to hand over the house was Niluka
Abeywickrama, the wife of Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama. Air Vice
Marshal Anura Silva also graced the occasion.
Warrant Officer W D Sarathchandra was in charge of the project. |
