Universal Freight Management Conference (UFMAC ) is annually held to discuss the future of the freight industry which has become the life blood in the liberal market of export and imports.

Speaking to Daily News Punch Sajitha said ‘As a young person I am very proud to have been able to represent the country in an international conference.

One of the key reasons why I am happy about it is that the conference was presided by Jayantha Liyanagama who also is a Sri Lankan. He represented Dubai.’

At the meeting freight forward agents from countries like Turkey, Belgium, Indian , Malaysia, China, Australia, Spain, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, Italy, Maldives, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Germany gathered to discuss the future Challenges of the logistic industry.

‘As a proud member of UFMAG UCL logistics carried out the first Sri Lankan rail container transport for Prima wheat export purposes from Trincomalee to Colombo port for the very first time with the support of Expo Lanka Group. I should thank our group CEO Hannif Yussof, for his guidance,” said Sajitha.

“I also thanks Prima, Sri Lankan Railway, Sri Lanka Customs, Expolanka and the UCL Logistics which supported me immensely to make my efforts a success. After the success I achieved from trail operation it enabled me to represent an International conference,” said Sajitha.

In fact, Sri Lanka should be proud to have young people who try to drive the Sri Lankan economy with their creative and innovative ideas.
