More flyers for Deccan now

Deccan Aviation, which is a premier domestic carrier in the country
will expand its presence in Sri Lanka adding a larger twin engine
helicopter to the existing fleet in the coming six months making a mark
in the aviation industry in Sri Lanka.
This year has been a significant year for Deccan Aviation which has
seen 68 percent increase in topline during the first eight months of
this year as against the corresponding period in 2010. It sees an
increase in business flyers mainly fuelled by large scale investment
projects taking place in the North and East.
Deccan Aviation CEO and Director Denham Schokman said, the
composition of Deccan Aviation guest are growing at an unprecedented
pace with 40 corporate flyers. In the past this used to be around 20
percent and they see more business flyers and investors chartering
Deccan aircraft.
The company is focused to develop the charter business in helicopter
and fixed wing divisions by adding more capacity to take advantage of
the growth in the tourism and corporate travel. It has plans to extend
its reach by providing operational and maintenance support to other
airlines in the country. |
