Keheliya in SLFP Central Committee

Minister Rambukwella

Mass Media and Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has been appointed as a member of the SLFP Central Committee by President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Rambukwella was the first opposition UNP parliamentarian to join the UPFA government in 2006 to strengthen its hands in the fight against LTTE terrorism which was at its height.

During the humanitarian operations, he was instrumental in setting up the Media Centre for National Security to impart correct information to the world on behalf of the government and the role

he played as media spokesman was a great source of strength towards the success of the humanitarian operations, a release said.

He also functions as the SLFP chief organiser for the Kundasale electorate.
