Hada Bima Authority makes record plant sale

The Sri Lanka Hada Bima Authority plant sales campaign conducted within its head office premises has made a record sale worth Rs 5.8 million this year, sources said.

The sales campaign provided high quality plants to produce a quality crops and fruits and decorative plants for agro industries, retailers and the public.

The Authority Chairman Nandasena Herath said that they are making every effort to make available numerous varieties of plants to customers.

The centre caters to both governmental and non-governmental organizational projects.

Herath said they will launch mobile plant nurseries to expand the campaign to reach all parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the agricultural department has made arrangements to provide quality seeds for growers under the Gemi Diriya project to popularize the one million Home Garden project undertaken by the Economic Development Ministry.
