Two teams to probe rape case

Two teams have been appointed to investigate the incident where a girl of Royal College, Telijjawila was raped recently. The teams were appointed by the Southern Provincial Education Ministry and Examination Commissioner’s Department, Southern Provincial Director of Education, Kithsiri Liyanagamage said.

The two teams will meet the raped girl’s parents, four suspects released on bail and residents to record their statements, the Provincial Education Director said. The college watcher and five persons attached to education sector have already been interdicted following this incident.
