Programmes to develop Homagama

Education Minister has initiated programmes to develop the Homagama
Electorate including erecting a fully equipped Courts Complex.
A sum of over Rs 27.9 million has been spent to improve provincial
roads under the Sapiri Gamak and Supiri Ratak programme funded by the
Economic Development Ministry.
Under the Gama Neguma programme Rs 7.3 million was spent for
construction of roads, electricity and water supply, irrigation and
toilets facilities for schools, free maternity clinic in the Homagama
electorate.
The Homagama court complex to be built spending Rs 464.3 million will
include High Courts, Labour Tribunals and a Commercial High Court, in
addition to the existing District Courts and Magistrate's Courts,
Homagama Bar Association President Upali Senaratne said.
Homagama BASL President Senaratne said that between Colombo and
Avissawella this Homagama Court is the oldest court which would have
been upgraded years ago.
Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena visited the Homagama court
premises recently with former Justice Minister Athauda Senaviratne.
