Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (SLITHM) bagged
seven medals including a Gold and a Silver and five Bronze Medals in
Fine Art of Cocktail and Mocktail Competition at the recently concluded
Culinary Art Exhibition conducted by the Chefs' Guild of Sri Lanka for
the 14th successive year.
Student Dilanka Abeywardena from Intermediate Food and Beverage class
won the Gold Medal for "Arrack Cocktail" Category and Duminda Wijesinghe
also from the Intermediate Food and Beverage Class won the Silver Medal
for "Mocktail" Category.
SLITHM students also claimed four spots at the recently held "Marie
Brizard" Bartender competition all island semi finals. Hasajith
Amarathunga from the three year Diploma class won the Best Creative
Cocktail All Island and Keshia Congreve also from three year Diploma
class won the first place in the Hotel School Category.
The SLITHM team was trained by senior lecturers Food and Beverage
Operations Chaman Perera and Dickson Kumara directed by SLITHM Director
General Dr. Suranga Silva.
