Domino’s Pizza in expansion drive, to open 30 outlets

Domino’s Pizza franchise holder, Jubilant Food Works Lanka has invested Rs 150 million to build a plant in Kelaniya to manufacture pizza dough, its CEO Ajay Kaul said.

Kaul told the Daily News Business that the production plant will be completed within a short period. Manufactured pizza dough balls and other pizza ingredients will be delivered to pizza outlets from the plant.

The first Domino’s Pizza outlet in Sri Lanka was opened in Colombo recently.

Jubilant Food Works Lanka Pvt Limited is planning to open 25 to 30 more outlets throughout the country in the next five years.

Kaul said around Rs 30 to 35 million will be invested on each outlet generating over 15 direct jobs in one outlet.

Domino’s delivery promise of 30 minutes or free has been a USP of the brand which is unmatched and unrivalled in the region.
