Arms and ammunition recovered from bunker

The Mannar Police recovered a haul of LTTE arms and ammunition hidden in a bunkar on the Periyamadu road and Sudukadu during a search operation conducted in Wedithalativu recently.

The haul included twenty seven 80 mm and 60 mm mortar bombs, a 2.5 kg claymore mine, an anti personnel mine and three boxes containing 2250 T56 ammunition.

Police investigations are continuing.
