For IT, business management and electronic
engineering degrees:
SLIIT commences enrolment
SLIIT, recognized as the leading institute for information technology
in Sri Lanka offers degree programmes in business management and
electronic engineering which are awarded by SLIIT’s affiliated
universities, thus broadening students’ academic prospects.
The institute has commenced enrolment for the new academic year and
seeks to nurture a new generation of experts who will contribute towards

For over a decade, SLIIT has been recognized as the largest IT degree
awarding institute in the country which provides a broad scope of
academic opportunities for students.
The institute more recently expanded its academic offerings to
include electronic engineering and business management (with partner

vital fields which play a key role in the development and progress of
Sri Lanka.
The institute has carved out numerous pathways which allow students
to complete their degree entirely in Sri Lanka or abroad, depending on
their choice. SLIIT’s impressive line-up of partner universities are
situated in the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom, and
these include Sheffield Hallam University (UK), Monash University
(Australia), and Curtin University and Southeast Missouri State
University (U.S), to name a few.
“Within the span of a decade in fostering quality tertiary education,
SLIIT has produced over 15,000 IT professionals to the nation (nearly a
half of the country’s skilled IT workforce), and we have seen a surge in
numbers for the institutes more recently introduced business management
and electronic engineering degrees which are conducted in partnership
with our foreign affiliates” said SLIIT Chairman Professor S.
