Senok Group takes to air

Senok Group is to commence air passenger service by the end of
October this year and has already ordered two AS350B3 helicopters with
seven seats each from Eurocopter in France.
The flights would operate from the Ratmalana Airport.
In addition, Senok Group is planning to set up a vehicle assembling
plant in Ruhunu Magampura Port Industrial Zone shortly.
Speaking to Daily News Business, Senok Trade Combine (Pvt) Ltd Sales
and Marketing Director Reeza Rauf said the company is waiting for
approval from the relevant authorities to commence the construction of
the plant. Commenting on the overall automobile industry in the country,
Rauf said bringing down the customs duty for motor cars in all segments
have opened new vistas for the automobile retailers while creating a
level playing field. The ongoing road development projects, particularly
with the opening of the Southern Expressway will create new
opportunities for the overall automobile industry.
Senok yesterday launched the much awaited Seventh Generation
Volkswagen Passat, which is an impressive and successful model with an
estimated sales of over 15 million units in the world so far.
The Volkswagen Passat comes with innovative features such as fatigue
detection city emergency braking rear park assist, boot lid easy open
and other special features and is offered with a fuel efficient 1.4 TSI
engine, 1.8 and 2.0 petrol and 2.0 TDI diesel engine. |
