Final Randoli Perahera today

The final Randoli Maha Perahera of the Sri Dalada Maligawa Kandy will parade the streets of Kandy tonight.

The perahera will leave the Maligawa at 8 p.m. and proceed through Dalada Veediya, Yatinuwara Veediya, Kande Veediya, D S Senanayake Veediya and return to the Maligawa along Raja Veediya.

Thereafter the Sri Dalada Maligawa perahera will proceed to the Adahana Maluwa Gedige Viharaya along with the peraheras of the four devalayas to deposit the relics casket there.

The Day perahera will be held tomorrow (August 14) beginning at 1.20 p.m. After the conclusion of the Day Perahera the Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela Bandara will walk in processing to the Presidents House handing along with Basnayake Nilames of the four devalayas and report the successful conclusion of the Kandy Esala Pageant to the President.
