Zebra birth at zoo after 17 years

A zebra was born at the National Zoological Gardens in Dehiwala on Wednesday after 17 years. The female cub is in a very good health condition, Zoological Gardens Educational Officer Nihal Senerath said.

This cub was born around 2am. The cub’s parents were brought to Sri Lanka in June 2008 from China.
