IronOne in major expansion

One of Sri Lanka's leading stock market software solutions providers IronOne Technologies is going for a series of new developments including significant enhancements to its product offering, tie-ups with new clients, strategic collaborations and plans for expansion.

Two of the major stock broking houses in the country have recently entered into agreements to adopt IronOne's instantly-deployable, industry-leading 'Atrad' Solutions Platform increasing the application's local market share to nearly 35 percent. Discussions are being held with several other broking houses that are also expected to deploy Atrad in the near future, the company said.

Alongside these developments, the groundwork has been laid for the release of the new Atrad 'Next Generation Online Trading Platform,' which when launched in September 2011 will represent unparalleled enhancement of convenience to investors, IronOne's Vice President Stock Market Solutions Tiranjan Bulankulame said.

An array of education and research tools, fundamental and technical analysis tools, customized watch lists, charts and a market ticker tool, risk management tools, account summary information, corporate news and announcements and a message board are among the enhanced features.

IronOne has launched the first version of Atrad Mobile, an application which enables investors to view their portfolios, account summaries and the performance of specific stocks on their mobile phones by creating a customised watch list and sending transaction alerts to their brokers via text messages, without the hassle of downloads.

Atrad Mobile is currently being deployed by one of the company's clients and the public will be able to witness the full range of its benefits at an upcoming forum on the stock market, Bulankulame said.

Leveraging its international presence IronOne has also taken steps to promote foreign investments in the Sri Lankan stock market by appointing agents in the UK and Canada and collaborating with Lanka Stock Connect (www.lankastockconnect.com).
