South Coast Resorts invests Rs 500 m on 'Michelle'
South Coast Resorts will soon launch their first lifestyle boutique
hotel - 'Michelle' in Balapitiya with an investment of Rs 500 Million.
Addressing the media Chairman Dr. Saman Weerasinghe said, in addition to
'Michelle' which is a BOI project, his company will further invest on
two more similar properties with foreign collaboration. "With the
current upward trend, we saw the need for a high quality boutique hotel
in the area and soon the right location was found and construction
commenced," he said.
"Michelle is one of a kind conceptual life style boutique hotel,
located right on the beach. Our primary objective is to sell an
experience to our valued guests and to be everything they want it to be.
One could indulge in a truly Sri Lankan brand of hospitality and
infinity in holidaying at this hideout, explaining the unique concept of
Michelle," Managing Director Ranjaka De Mel said. This distinctly
different and unique property will consist of 16 state of the art
suites. Some of the suites will have attics while some will have spa
baths and plunge pools. Ariyana Spas will be operating the spa with
Balinese therapist's.
Dining at 'Michelle' will be an unforgettable gastronomic experience
with fusion cuisine from the far east to the most delectable cross
border cuisine of the Mediterranean to contemporary French.
"To ensure a high quality finished product, we entrusted the
architectural concept to Synergo consultants and the design concept to
Nayanthara Fonseka (Taru)," he further added.
