Alpha celebrates Alpha Day
Alpha Industries, whose main forte is the manufacture of security
safes and light metal office furniture have firmly established
themselves as market leaders in these categories in Sri Lanka.
On August 6 is 'Alpha Day'. This year Alpha celebrated 48 years
service to all Sri Lankans far and wide. Paying tribute to all staff at
Alpha, Managing Director Priyanjith Weerasooriya said the most treasured
asset of the company was its loyal and committed staff, most of whom
have been with the company for the long haul, through the good times and
bad.
Alpha recognized as pioneers in their trade with consumers always
opting to purchase their products over competitors as they have built
themselves a reputation for offering premium quality products.
Marketing General Manager Jeremy David said that although
manufacturing safes was not an easy job, the business had proved to be a
growth based category for them right throughout.
Employing around 300 to 400 people in their factory, the company also
manufactures light metal office furniture setting the benchmark in that
category.
Pricing is related to the quality of a product and David explained
that the brand and quality heritage they offered with their products
portrayed these factors enabling the delivery of its strong durability
feature.
They currently have 14 showrooms islandwide and have plans to expand
their presence with more showrooms this year as well.
Recognizing the potential in producing wood based furniture with Sri
Lankan offices over the past decade becoming more chic and upmarket with
the influx of foreign investments, there was a need to upgrade one's
office to suit modern trends. |
