Kate Middleton named in Vanity Fair most stylish list
UK: Kate Middleton has made it on to a list of the world’s
most stylish individuals for the first time as a member of the Royal
Family.It is the first time Kate has appeared on Vanity Fair’s list
since 2008. The Duchess of Cambridge was recognised for her “whirlwind
of fashion successes” in the 72nd annual list.
Her wedding dress was famously designed by Sarah Burton, for
Alexander McQueen.
Kate was joined by Barack and Michelle Obama, making their first
appearance together on the best-dressed couples list.
Mrs Obama has been among the best-dressed ladies for the past four
years, while the US president has only earned a spot once, in 2009.
French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy made the grade for the fourth
time, but her husband, President Nicolas Sarkozy missed out again after
featuring in the 2007 list.
Oscar-winning British actor Colin Firth made his inaugural appearance
on the best-dressed men list, along with Hollywood star Justin
Timberlake.
Fellow Britons on the list include actress Carey Mulligan and Formula
1 driver Jenson Button.
Christine Lagarde, managing director at the International Monetary
