Iftar buffet at The Dining Room
This Ramadan the chefs at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo outdo themselves
with the Iftar buffet spread at The Dining Room. Inspired by Middle
Eastern cuisine and coupled with Malaysian and Indian influence, the
selection of dishes will be both nutritious as well as delicious. During
the month of Ramadan, The Dining Room offers an Iftar snack menu at
sunset in addition to the dinner buffet at no additional charge. The
menus may differ daily and include an assortment of beverages such as
fresh fruit juices, king coconut water, faluda or fresh milk as part of
the preliminary snack.
The Iftar snack will feature the traditional dates and dry nuts along
with chicken and plain ‘kanji’ or porridge, chicken shawarma, mini
pizzas, vegetable pies, tandoori chicken puffs, vegetable or mutton
samosas, falafel and freshly cut fruits.
The already impressive international dinner buffet will receive a
touch of Middle Eastern flavour with dishes such as an Arabic lentil
soup, kabsa rice which is infused with flavour from the chicken or
mutton it is cooked in, vermicelli rice, fish sayadia, Arabic mixed
grill, kofta and vegetable or lamb moussaka. The salad bar will include
mutable, baba ghanoush, hummus, fattoush and tabbouleh.
The dessert counter will include mahalabiya, a milk based dish
sprinkled with nuts, basbusa, and umali amongst several other sweet and
mildly sweet desserts.
Separate ladies and gents prayer rooms have been arranged with
facilities to take ablution. |
