Lakshan (210) excels for Matara Thomians

A 340 run stand for the second wicket between Rasindu Dilusha (101 off 100 deliveries with eleven fours and a six) and Lasith Lakshan (210 off 128 deliveries with twenty two fours and a dozen sixes) saw St. Thoma's college, Matara beat Meepawala Amarasooriya College by 314 runs at the Sanath Jayasuriya grounds in Matara on Monday.

The under 15 division one match was reduced to 42 overs per team due to the late arrival of the lads from Meepawela. The Thomians' opted to bat first and made a mammoth 406/04 wickets in their 42 overs.

The visitors reached a total of 92/8 with W. G. L. Shehan scoring 36 off 51 deliveries with five fours and a six. H. Y. Jayanidu and R. R. Chathurtha took two wickets each.
