Trinity-Rajans clash at Bogambara

Curtains will come down on another schools rugby league season when Trinity College takes on Dharmaraja College in a Singer shield under 20 Division One rugby tournament match to be played at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy, today (Monday July 18) at 4.30 p.m.

Trinity College led by Junior national team skipper Murad Ramzeen have undergone a season of mixed fortunes having beaten Kingswood, Wesley, St. Joseph's, St. Peter's, St. Anthony's, Thurstan and St. Thoma's Colleges. They lost to Royal, Isipathana and Science College in a rather unexpected manner.

But most important was their 40-5 second leg win over Royal College which brought back the Bradly Shield to Kandy. But this was not a tournament game. Dharmaraja College started their league season on a rather disastrous note even losing to St. Thomas College. But they recovered during the tail end of the season to score wins over Wesley, Thurstan and Science College to whom the Lions lost.

Though Trinity College is expected to round off their league season with a win in this game but the Rajans could be tough opponents and could even target an upset. Therefore the Lions cannot be lethargic about the Rajans Potential.
