Anushka stars in SL Army win

Sri Lanka Army beat Old Moratu Vidyalians Sports Club by 88 runs on first innings in their inter-club under-23 Division II tournament cricket match conducted by SLC.

Taking the first lease OMVSC were all out for 113 runs with Kalhara Peiris making 32 runs and Anushka Samaratunge taking 5 for 27. In reply Sri Lanka Army declared at 201 for 3 with Dulaj Vijithakumara and Mohamed Feshal scoring 65 and 69 runs respectively. At the close of play OMVS club were 70 for 4.

OMVSC: 113 (Lahiru Sapun 24, Kalhara Peiris 32, Anushka Samaratunge 5/27, Roshan Jayatissa 3/32 and 4/70 - Kalhara Peiris 34 n.o, Ishan Peiris 15 n.o.).
