Isipatana retain Shield

Isipatana College retained the Abdul Jabbar Shield for another year as they defeated traditional rivals Thurstan College 70-6 in their annual inter school rugby encounter worked off at Longden Place yesterday.

Isipatana collected their points from five goals and seven tries after having led 36-6 at half time. Thurstan College responded with two drop goals.

Isipatana College also emerged runners up in the Singer inter school under 20 division one league rugby tournament.
