Newly elected District Governor 306A1

District Governor, Lion Kapila Manamperi arrived in Sri Lanka, after attending the 94th Annual Lions Clubs International Convention at Seattle, Washington, USA.

He took oaths as District Governor 306A1 for the Lionistic year 2011/2012. He installed the Cabinet officers appointed by him on July 16 at Tangerine Beach Hotel, Kalutara. Lion Manamperi received his primary and secondary education at Rahula College, Matara. He is a Law Graduate of the University of Colombo, holder of Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo.

He is reading for the Masters of Business Administration at the Faculty of Management, University of Ruhuna.

He is an attorney-at-law by profession, Matara Bar president and Bar Association of Sri Lanka vice president.

He is a life member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, life member of the Colombo Law Society, member of the organization of Professional Association and managing director, Law and Management Centre.
