People’s Bank relaunches website with E-futures

People’s Bank’s website was relaunched recently by leading software developer E-futures to coincide with the Bank’s 50th anniversary.

User friendly web applications, a modern outlook and interactive features were incorporated with the objective of keeping pace with changing times and expectations of the tech-savvy customer. Being a bank that has served the nation for five decades, this is yet another initiative it has taken towards enhancing technology driven banking.

Established in 1961 with the aim of being the bank of all aspiring people of Sri Lanka, providing stability and trust for their savings and accessibility through an unmatched network of 686 branches and service centres, People’s Bank stands strong with a customer base of 13 million. People’s Bank is a bank that has won the hearts of Sri Lankans, and it continues to feel the pulse of the people, empowering them to become value creating, competitive and self reliant.

People’s Bank’s Chairman, W Karunajeewa said that the re-launch of website became a reality due to the efforts and enthusiasm of the bank’s employees. “This has proven our ability and strength to overcome challenges and take People’s Bank to even greater heights in the future,” he said.

CEO and General Manager, N Vasantha Kumar, said that People’s Bank has empowered its customers through sophisticated internet banking and SMS banking solutions supported by cutting edge technologies, enabling them to obtain banking services and information any time at their convenience 365 days of the year.

E-futures Director Prashan Nagendra said that over the years the company has built a strong relationship with People’s Bank by providing web and software solutions.

Director Rishen Fernando said that E-futures offers unparalleled expertise in software and web solutions to a wide array of clientele including local and international companies, and explained that highly flexible approach, faster response time and experienced team are the driving forces behind their success.
