Comprehensive Pin Fernando Tourney concludes at RCGC

This year’s 32nd Pin Fernando Golf tournament sponsored by United Tractor and Equipment Ltd for the past 11 years took place on Saturday at the RCGC. The tournament considering a large number of golfers was most comprehensive with three competitions on medal play for ladies in the Silver Division, Bronze Division and overall Best Gross. For the men they had to pit their might on the medal play format in the Seniors Division, Masters Division, Divisions ‘C’, ‘B’, ‘A’, squad players (Gross square) and overall Best Gross Score.

The pride of the tournament was for the ‘Pin Fernando Memorial trophy’, which was concurrently being held with the other events.

Quite a fair number of accredited golfers were striving not to be eliminated and come within the 32 – which from medal play will now be played on match play, that is in pairs on different four days until the champion emerges.
