Lankan man denies hiding in women’s toilet

An alleged Lankan ‘peeping Tom’ denied in Dubai court that he was peeking at a woman while she was in the bathroom at a Dubai mall.

A Filipino woman claimed that the Sri Lankan man was in the women’s bathroom at the mall and was looking at her from over the door when he was spotted by another woman.

She told prosecutors that the woman knocked the door and told her that she saw the man in the mirror when she was washing her hands, and that he was hiding in one of the bathroom cubicles. She started knocking on the bathroom cubicle, yelling for the man to come out, and when he finally did, she asked to see his mobile phone to make sure that he had not taken her picture, and then reported the incident.
