of Turkey Abdullah Gl at the Presidential Palace in Ankara on May 24.

During a meeting with the President of Turkey, the Ambassador
conveyed the greetings and best wishes from President Mahinda Rajapaksa
and briefed him on the present political and economic situation in Sri
Lanka.
The ambassador also apprised the President on the dedicated task of
the Sri Lankan government in forging unity and progress through
reconciliation, rehabilitation and reconstruction since the end of the
conflict.
President Abdullah Gl conveyed the Turkish governments fullest
cooperation on further enhancing bilateral relations between the two
countries and developing links in investment and trade.
The ambassador also participated in a wreath laying ceremony at the
Atatrks Tomb to commemorate the National Heroes of Turkey and signed
the Book of Honour at the Mausoleum. |
