Uncle Sam’s all American BBQ is calling you

The all American BBQ night is a fully sanctioned grand American BBQ by Chef Indika of Mount Lavinia Hotel celebrating Uncle Sam’s Independence Day.

The great all American BBQ night will surface a Chef prepared spread that is synonymous to Great American BBQs of the USA.

Coney Island hotdogs, BBQ baby back ribs, buttermilk fried chicken, Memphis style pulled pork shoulder sandwiches, blackened snapper with creole, Texas style pork and beans, double stuffed naked potatoes, Mississippi mud brownies, blueberry pie, peach cobbler are just a few to tempt your taste buds.

“We have been thrilled at the response by guests last year when they really enjoyed the Jazz and country brunch stating the authenticity of the American culture with food and entertainment.

Many new guests have been asking us what we intend to do for July 4 and with great gusto, I stated ‘an all American BBQ’, what else.

The biggest compliment I got is when a customer replied, “We definitely will be there!” Our emphasis is on using the finest meats and ingredients for our barbecue, home-made side dishes and made from scratch desserts,” endorsed MLH General Manager Anura Dewapura.

The journey will continue in the US of A till July 10 when the White House Chef too stirs up your taste buds with those tasty anecdotes.

The All American BBQ will be only on July 4 to honour Independence Day from 7.30 pm onwards.

The BBQ menu will include all of the below and more:

Salads

Apple and potato salad, red cabbage and apple summer slaw, BBQ pork salad with fruit and honey-balsamic vinagrette and ranch style chicken salad to name a few

Soup

Rhode Island style clam chowder

Action

Coney Island style hotdogs, all American backyard beef burgers, chili-lime rubber beer can chicken, BBQ baby back ribs and buttermilk fried chicken to name a few.

Fixin’s

Mac n’

cheese, Memphis BBQ pulled pork shoulder, chili con carne, honey glazed corn bread, Texas style pork and beans and double stuffed baked potatoes to name a few
