Surangi Salon rewards talented beauticians

ReeBonn Cosmetics, a leading herbal cosmetics and personal care manufacturing company in Sri Lanka, recently held a Bridal show in Kandy - 'The Surangi Bridal Show, Kandy 2011'. Organized by the Surangi Bridal Academy, it was held at the Hindu Cultural Centre Kandy and attracting over 300 entrants. The categories showcased were Indian, Western, low country and Kandyan varieties.

Selecting from a dazzling array of over 300 entries, the panel of judges selected the winners from among the Kandyan, Low country Indian, and Western categories with the emphasis being on creativity and originality.

The Best Beautician was awarded to Sudheshika Lakmali Dharmasiri whilst C K Pelendagama, Sujeewani Kumari and Madhurika Udaya Kumari won the first, second and third place respectively for the low country brides catergory.

The Kandyan brides category was won by S W Wijesurendra (first place), I S Abegunesekara (second place) and I V Lakmali (third place). The Western brides category was won by C K Pelendagama (first place), S Kumari (second place) and M U Kumari (third place), whilst the Indian brides category was won by E U Balasooriya (first place), S V I Damayanthi (second place) and R Ramya (third place).
