Navy should have it easy against CH
The Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club should notch up their third win for
the season when they take on the CH and FC in their Caltex 'A' Division
League rugby match at Maitland Crescent today.
The sailors came back storming last week to hold the formidable CR
and FC to a 18-all draw after being led 15-5 midway in the second half
and should come up with another sterling display today having overcome
Army (12-5) and Air Force (19-8) in their first two outings this year.
Up front the sailors should prevail over their counterparts with a
powerful set of forwards. Skipper Yoshitha Rajapaksa has been a source
of inspiration with his fiery loose play ably supported by Kalana
Amarasinghe, Hamza Hassen, Piumal Manchanayake and Danushka Perera. CH
and FC have lost all three matches to CR and FC (8-14), Kandy SC (19-41)
and Police (13-17) and should give a much better display today if they
hope to contain the sailors.
