Janasevana housing project goes to Hingurakgoda:
Nearly 50 houses for homeless families

A project has been launched to provide 46 homeless families with
houses in Hingurakgoda under the Janasevana Million Homes programme.
This will be carried out by the National Housing Development Authority
(NHDA).
Hingurakgoda divisional secretariat has provided each family with a
20-perch land. The cost of the project is Rs 9.2 million and carried out
with the target of finishing it in six months. Infrastructure facilities
such as electricity, water and by-roads are to be provided under
government expenses.
The inauguration ceremony of the project took place recently at the
Saranasiragama Wijayaraja Wewa II village in Hingurakgoda divisional
secretariat division.
The ceremony was held with the participation of Construction,
Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal
Weerawansa, Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena and Construction and
Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Deputy Minister
Lasantha Alagiyawanne among others.
