Farmer convention at Temple Trees

A farmer convention will be held at Temple Trees under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa today.

This mega convention is organized by the Agrarian Services and Wildlife Ministry in coordination with the Finance and Planning and the Economic Development Ministries to educate the farmers on how they could derive benefits from the fertilizer subsidy which was made available to all crops being cultivated in the country.

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa, Senior Ministers Athauda Seneviratne, S B Navinna, Ministers Reginold Cooray, and S M Chandrasena will speak on the occasion. Over 25 farmers will receive a packet of fertilizer from the President to mark the granting of the fertilizer subsidy for all cultivations.
