Child trapped between two walls rescued

China: Firefighters freed a 5-year-old boy trapped between two walls in northern China on Saturday.

Witnesses said the boy was playing between two brick houses when he became caught between the two walls.

Firefighters rushed to the scene to help the crying boy after his parents' and other local resident' attempts to free the child proved unsuccessful.

The firefighters used a heavy-duty inflatable air mattress to widen the gap between the walls and sprayed the boy with oil to help with the release.

Thirty minutes after the firefighters arrived, the boy was able to squeeze through the narrow gap into the waiting arms of his parents. 9news.com
