Drug dealer arrested with ganja haul
A leading drug dealer engaged in the distribution
of ganja in Gampola and surrounding areas was nabbed with nearly two
kilos of the drug in his possession by the Gampola Police Anti Vice
Squad which also arrested another eight suspects said to be his
sales agents.

Five lorries with explosives seized
Vavuniya Police arrested eight men along with
five lorries loaded with high explosives being transported with iron
rods. The lorries with the explosives were checked by the police
while they were being transported from Jaffna to Colombo.
