CPA celebrates 10
The Centre for Poverty Analysis (CEPA) will celebrate its tenth
anniversary this year at Ceylon Continental Hotel Colombo marking ten
years of poverty research and dialogue in Sri Lanka.
A two-day colloquium will be held on June 30 and July 1 on "Current
imperatives in understanding poverty", CEPA Chairman Prof Hiran Dias
said.
He said many issues that can contribute to wellbeing are left out of
the discourse or are as yet insufficiently explored or understood
despite huge strides made in reducing the incidence of poverty in Sri
Lanka.
Some of those forgotten issues will be brought to the forefront of
the development agenda.
