Two nabbed with stolen car

Two suspects were arrested by Piliyandala Police with a stolen car valued at Rs 2.8 million. The police made the arrest on the Piliyandala Road on Monday while one of the suspects was driving the stolen motor car. Police investigations revealed that the two suspects had stolen the motor car from a leasing company at Boralesgamuwa about one month ago.

Meanwhile, Rs 300,000 jewellery were stolen from a house in Bandaragama during the day last week.

The thieves had left a knife inside a room of the house after the theft.

Police with the help of police dogs had gone to a house of an old couple. They told the police that the two youths who repaired their house had left.

Panadura and Bandaragama police are investigating.
