NCP schools reopen today

All North Central Province schools closed during Poson will reopen today, said North Central Province education director H K M Jinapala.

Swarnapali Balika National School, Anuradhapura Central College, Mahabodhi Maha Vidyalaya, St Joseph's College, Walisinghe Harischandra Maha Vidyalaya, Zahira College, Vivekananda College, K B Ratnayake College, Pothanegama School, Peramiyankulama Ashoka College, Dewanam Piyatissa College, Galkulama College, Niwanthana Chethiya School, Mihintale Maha Vidyalaya, Mihintale Primary School and Mihintale Muslim College which were closed from June 12 will reopen today.

These schools were closed to provide accommodation to police personnel who were on duty in the area during the festive season.

Jinapala said that classes will be held on other days to cover the school syllabus.
