Navy sails to victory over Army

Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club launched their campaign with a hard fought 12-5 victory over Sri Lanka Army Sports Club in their Caltex inter club 'A' division league rugby tournament match worked off at Welisara yesterday.

The Sailors rallied around through their mobile set of forwards and collected their points from one goal and one try after having snatched a close 8 nil lead at half time. Army SC responded with a solitary try.

Dynamic third row forward Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Kosala Tissera scored a try each for the winners with full back Dav Anand converting one try. Centre Senanayake scored the try for Army SC.
