Special team probes FTZ attack

Acting IGP N K Ilangakoon yesterday said that the CID and a special police team are investigating the attack on Free Trade Zone (FTZ) employees.

The acting IGP also said that he will take stern action against police personnel involved in the FTZ issue.

The two police personnel, a Chief Inspector and an Inspector arrested in connection with the attack on the FTZ employees were produced before Negombo Chief Magistrate A N M P Amarasinghe and remanded until June 13.
