Government able to face every challenge

Under President Mahinda Rajapaksa's correct leadership:

The government is able to win every challenge under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, said Technology and Research Minister Pavithra Vanniarachchi.

She was addressing the opening ceremony of the Chamber of 80 great disciples (Asumaha Shrawaka) at the Sri Sugatharama temple in Pahalagama, Kendagamuwa, Eheliyagoda recently. This religious ceremony was held to mark the 2600th Sambuddhatva Jayanthi.

"Due to the 2600th Sambuddhatva Jayanthi in the country there is a great reawakening of interest in Buddhism. This impression has been developed under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, which is governing the country according to Buddhism," she said.

The country is being led towards a prosperous future in spite of western conspiracy, she said.

"Buddhism has been protected in the country for many years due to the dedication of Buddhist monks. We believe that a society which is protecting Pancha Seela is protected by divine powers.

Such a society can overcome every problem," she said. This building was constructed under the guidance of Chief Incumbent of Sri Sugatharama Temple Kirama Chandananda Thera.

The Chamber of 80 great disciples (Asumaha Shrawaka) was built with the donations of residents.

Amarapura Siri Saddhamma Wansa Chapter Most Ven Thumbagoda Suddhammawansa Thera also participated.
