Bellanwila Esala ceremony from August 11-13

The Bellanwila Esala Perahera Committee meeting held on May 28 under the patronage of Ven Dr Bellanwila Wimalaratana Nayake Thera decided to hold the Annual Esala religious ceremony at the Bellanwila Raja Maha Viharaya this year as well.

The Esala ceremony to be held from August 11 to 13 will start with a series of Sri Somaratana Commemoration Dhamma Sermons.

Later the pirith chanting will take place on August 14. The Devadutha and Kumbal Peraheras will parade the streets on August 20 and the Randoli Perahera will take place on August 27.

The Esala ceremony will end with the offering of the devadanaya after the water cutting ceremony at the Boralesgamuwa Thotupola.
