Lecturers want four demands met

University lecturers have requested the implementation of four demands which would enable them to carry out their usual duties as before, said Higher Education Ministry Secretary Dr Sunil Jayantha Navaratne.

They presented their demands at a discussion held between the Higher Education Ministry and university lecturers recently. Discussions are now underway to find solutions to the university staff grievances in a bid to end the university crisis.
