Met Dept predicts morning showers

Showers can be expected in the coming days in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and Galle and Matara districts, specially in the morning, due to the pre-monsoon condition, said Meteorological Department meteorologist-in- charge D.A. Jayasinghearachchi.

"We experienced thunder showers in the western coastal area yesterday due to the low level disturbance in the atmosphere. This is also pre- monsoon condition and with the beginning of the south west monsoon this situation can changed," he said.

The Meteorological Department predicted that the south west monsoon will start at the end of this month.
