Seminar

A seminar to mark the 2600th Sri Sambuddhatva Jayanthi will be held on Tuesday, May 31 at 6 pm at the OPA auditorium. The speakers and subjects are as follows:

* Senior Advisor to the President and former MP Milinda Moragoda on Buddhism and Governance’.

* Colombo University Sinhala Department Buddhist Studies Programme Coordinator, Pali and Buddhism Prof Asanga Tilakaratne on ‘Buddhism and Economic Development’.

* Former Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Chairman Chandra Jayaratne will speak on ‘Buddhism and Business Management’.

A seminar on the controversial Darusman Report will be held at the OPA auditorium on May 26 at 6 pm.

The speakers are Attorney-at-Law S L Gunasekera, former Ambassador to China, former SAARC Secretary General and Foreign Ministry Secretary Nihal Rodrigo, Attorney at Law Gomin Dayasiri and National Languages and Social Integration Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara.
