Army Commander visits 22 Division Headquarters

Army Commander Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya met officers and soldiers serving Trincomalee area and addressed issues related to their duties, wellbeing and accommodation. He also visited 22 Division Headquarters and a few Battalions under Security Forces Headquarters, East during the weekend.

His visit also meant to receive the first-hand experience and information on the Army's active contribution to various development projects in Trincomalee under the government's Negenahira Navodaya programme. The Commander thanked the troops for their commitments in the recent flood relief roles.
