Teen, father remanded

A 19-year-old girl nabbed with a grenade in her bag and her father were remanded for 14 days. A Wishwanandan and his daughter V Ugedinee of Palavuththu, Trincomalee were remanded by Dambulla Court Acting Judge Rathnasena Ranasinghe on Sunday.

Galewela police arrested the two on information received on 119.

The suspects were arrested at about 5.30 pm while travelling in a bus to Colombo from Trincomalee.
