CDPLC undertakes MV. Logos Hope repairs
MV. Logos Hope accommodated in Colombo Dockyard’s 30,000 dwt
drydock No. 1 during her repair call. |
Colombo Dockyard has undertaken another valuable project recently.
Dockyard Marketing Manager Darshana Chandrasekera told Daily News
Business that the library ship MV. Logos Hope is currently accommodated
in Colombo Dockyard's 30,000 DWT drydock No. 1. The vessel is a LOA
132.5 meters / BEAM 21.06 Meter, 1973 built passenger vessel owned by
GBA Ships e.v, Germany.
The vessel is undergoing routine drydocking related repairs during
this call. She is expected to complete her repairs by first week of May
and sail out to her next destination. Colombo Dockyard has been the
preferred repair yard for the owners, as MV. Dulos also owned by same
owners was dry-docked in Colombo during her visit to Sri Lanka in 2005.
She (Dulos) was at that time one of the oldest operating vessels in the
world, built during 1914.
