Housing loan scheme for journalists

A new housing loan scheme has been introduced by the North Western Province Housing, Highways, Power and Fisheries Ministry for the province's journalists who are permanent residents.

An eligible journalist can get Rs 200,000 at a low annual interest rate of eight percent.

"More welfare schemes for NWP journalists would be introduced in the future as they contribute a lot for the economic and social development of our country," said. NWP Housing, Power and Fisheries Minister Sanath Nishantha.
